Deer Valley Academy programs are staffed by individuals who have been trained in early childhood education/child development and who demonstrate the necessary personal qualities for working with young children.
Our staff have been selected for their educational backgrounds, as well as their experiences and expertise for working with young children. All teachers undergo a thorough reference check and background screening. During the school year, each teacher will receive frequent observations, coaching and evaluations. All staff receive CPR and first aid.
I began my path into childcare because I wanted to be a helping hand in shaping a bright, loving future. Nurturing the development of our youngest generation has been both rewarding and fun.
Coming from New Hampshire, I’m honored to be accepted into Deer Valley Academy’s unique culture. The things I value most in life are trying new things, meeting new people, sharing experiences among one another, and spreading love whenever I can.
Thank you for trusting us to foster growth in the most integral years of your favorite tiny human’s life! I promise to encourage them to be all that they can be.
I am excited to start my first year with Deer Valley Academy. Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to Utah this past winter. I feel very privileged to be joining this amazing team of teachers. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us.
Hi, my name is Dianne Karoly and this is my third year as a DV Academy teacher. Iloveworking with children! (This marks my 20thyear in Early Childhood.)
I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and attended DePauw University where I met my husband, Frank. We lived for many years in Missouri and raised our three awesome kids before making the move to Utah. We love to ski, hike, and spend as much time outside as possible. Deer Valley has been a favorite vacation spot for us through the ears and I am so thrilled to now live right down the street.
I was raised in Oregon, spending time skiing at Deer Valley while growing up. I moved to Utah in 2017 to attend school at the University of Utah, where I am majoring in Recreational Therapy, and minoring in Family, Community and Human Development. I started working at Deer Valley in the Children’s Center during the ski season and at the summer camp. This will be my fourth year working here, and I am excited to be in the Deer Valley Academy! In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and playing with my puppy, Buzz.
I have been working with children for the past nine years and love seeing them grow and learn new things. I have lived in Utah for the past four years and enjoy swimming, playing the piano, crocheting, cross-stitching and reading. I am married with four children; Bekah (9), Tanner (7), Addisynn (5), and Kassie (2).
I grew up in Central Asia and earned my master's degree in teaching Russian and English from the State University of Uzbekistan. With over 30 years of experience, I have taught numerous age groups in different countries.
Upon arriving to the United States and starting my new role as a Deer Valley Academy Teacher, I discovered the amazing world of 3- and 4-year-olds, which is a world where nothing is impossible and great discoveries happen every minute. The beautiful setting of Deer Valley reminds me of my home mountains and makes me treasure each day.
In my free time, I enjoy art, literature and classical music. I like to garden and cook healthy food for my family and friends. As part of my body-mind-spirit lifestyle, my most recent passions are Tai Chi and Yoga. I love traveling the world with my daughter Margo, as well as camping with my husband Rod, and our precious puppy Layla.
